Our Missions
Our mission is to provide an upmarket, well-respected, and responsible service where families can confidently allow their children to be educated, loved, and respected by educators and teachers who are passionate about raising the next generation. We are aware that the children we raise today, are the ones deciding the policy about aged care in the future!
We believe in play-based learning for young minds and strive to provide the best possible early years to kickstart their journey to a stronger future.
We aim to build meaningful relationships with children, families, and the broader community through mutual respect, trust, and inclusiveness
Our Philosophy
WHERE EVERY CHILD MATTERS
Pebbles Early Learning Centre will foster children’s development by motivating and inspiring children to be the best learners that they can be. We believe that children learn through play, interactions, spontaneity, risk-taking, exploration, discovery and connection with nature. We believe that self-esteem is the critical component to optimal growth in young children. Children at Pebbles Early Learning Centre are provided with developmentally appropriate care which supports self-help skills, emotional, social, physical and spiritual growth, and encourages them to contribute to their world.
All children are treated with love and respect and provided the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of activities. Our most fundamental objective is to provide our children with a safe, clean and loving environment, in which each child will feel that they are safe, secure and supported.
We believe young children represent the first of the future generations which makes it important for us, as educators, to help the children realise the significance of caring for and protecting their environment. We believe in promoting sustainable practices in everyday learning. Educators, children and parents work together to show respect, care and appreciation for the natural environment.
Our educators will be proactive in helping children build on the strengths and skills that they arrive at our service with and identify areas of need and work together with each family to achieve individual milestones and goals. Our educator’s interactions with the children will be positive, constructive and always encouraging, and will always role model the behaviours that we are teaching the children. We value our staff and provide ongoing professional development to ensure continual improvement and the best possible environments and outcomes for the children. We provide support, encouragement and a mentally safe workplace.
Our Early Learning Centre recognises that families are the foundation in children’s growth and development. Educators will develop positive relationships with families based on mutual trust and a high level of open communication. We will make decisions together with the families to ensure the children are learning to their best ability. We will help to guide and support families in their role, while also learning from families in order to achieve the best outcomes for children.

Her husband’s growing interest in childcare also helped bolster Banka’s confidence and readiness in setting up the Early Learning Centre in Raby.
Already with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education to better provide young learners at Pebbles with excellent learning experiences. She believes that her professional competence in managing the unique learning needs and experiences of children will make her and her team instrumental in the positive shaping of the lives of children.
Not only is Banka dedicated to advancing the development and care of children, she is also passionate about the personal and professional growth and development of everyone else in the Centre. She believes that everyone needs the right motivation to become better persons, whether it is through continuing professional development opportunities or a better wage. Getting employees motivated is as important as helping children secure their future.
Banka envisions a well-respected childcare centre that helps children have the best start in their lives through a collaborative partnership with their families and the community
Kamelia
(Educational Leader/Nominated Supervisor)
Hello, my name is Kamelia and I am the Educational Leader and a Nominated Supervisor here at Pebbles. I have been a preschool educator for 14 years and I believe that I have the best job in the world as every day is different, exciting, and filled with laughter and learning. I have a Diploma in Children’s Services.
I am extremely passionate about providing children with natural environments and the best educational program to enhance their learnings and developmental needs. I enjoy watching them develop and grow and contribute to each milestone that they achieve.
I am a grandmother and have 5 beautiful grandchildren. I enjoy reading, swimming, traveling, home decorating, and socialising.
Research shows that the preschool years are the most important years in a child’s life. It is believed that a child will learn more in their first five years than at any other time in their life. As an Early Childhood educator, I feel it is vital to create programs and environments that enhance and stimulate children’s learning through fun, play, and socialisation. As an educator, I have a keen interest and passion for school readiness programs and believe that there is an exceptionally large gap between the preschool environment to the schoolyard. In our preschool group, we provide children with opportunities to learn and practice skills via programs and activities that will help them cope with the challenges of starting school.
We are very fortunate here at Pebbles as our team of educators are a very close-knit group and have a great rapport with both each other and also our families and extended families. I look forward to meeting all the new families and welcoming them into our “Pebbles Family”, as our policy states we aim to provide a homelike environment where children feel valued, safe and have a true sense of belonging.
